Newly launched channel, News18 India has introduced a new Indian elections special strand ahead of the general elections in the country next year.
‘The Election Tracker’, which broadcasts on sister channel, CNN-IBN in India, has begun in the UK too. It will focus on key issues that the common man faces, examine the impact of policy and governance issues, and track the fortunes of key political players.
Conducted by India۪s premier socio-political study group, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, The Election Tracker will capture the responses from over 15,000 respondents across 20 key states and analyse the changing socio-political landscape of the country typified by the rise of regional parties, steep increase in urbanisation, and a uniquely young demographic profile. It will capture local, regional and national inputs, consolidate them to form voting patterns, and ultimately project what India۪s future would look like.
Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, IBN Network, said, Amidst the current socio-economic-political scenario, CNN-IBN۪s Election Tracker is a one-of-its-kind study that will test the mood of the nation and attempt to answer the biggest question of our times which impacts our future Who will rule India for the next five years?
‘The Election Tracker’ airs this week at 20:00 on News18 India.
