NDTV 24×7 confirms going free on Sky

After it was announced on BizAsia that NDTV 24×7 is going free-to-air on Sky Digital, the broadcaster has confirmed the developments.

The popular English language, Indian news broadcaster, has up until now been available through a basic Sky subscription. However, a source from the channel said that as a part of its new agreement with Sky, it will be going completely free. No doubt, the move is to attract more eyeballs in the fierce UK television market. It will now join other news broadcasters in the same sector including archrival, News18 India and other Indian news channels like Aaj Tak and ABP News.

The channel currently boasts an average weekly reach of around 220,000 (BARB).
