Nawazuddin Siddiqui replaces Farhan Akhtar in ‘Raees’?

Rahul Dholakia’s ‘Raees’ is one that many fans and industry folk have been waiting for as it would have had Shah Rukh Khan share the screen with award-winning and multi-talented Farhan Akhtar. However, to the disappointment of many, it is being reported that Akhtar has been replaced in the film by Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

According to Mumbai Mirror, producer of the film Ritesh Sidhwani has confirmed the news, “Yes, it is Shah Rukh and Nawaz now. With the shooting pushed from December 2014 to February 2015, the dates clashed with Farhan’s Rock On 2 schedule”.

“We will start constructing the set in Film City by December end. The heroine will be announced soon,” Sidhwani went on to say, quashing rumours that the project has been shelved.

Siddiqui will be seen next with Varun Dhawan in ‘Badlapur’.

One can only hope that Khan and Akhtar are able to come together in another project.
