When Yo Yo Honey Singh released his latest track reprising the 1990 song ‘Dheere Dheere Se’ from the film ‘Aashiqui’ (1990), it came as a surprise to many that he failed to mention the original makers of the song. This is why original composer Nadeem Saifi, who co-composed the song with Shravan Rathod, is furious with Singh.

Singh appeared on the Kapil Sharma Show not so long ago, where he spoke about how he had composed the song during the time he was struggling with bipolar. Having not referenced the songs makers,Asian Age reported Saifi stating, “I would first like you to first ask Honey Singh his date of birth, because I feel he must be in his nappies when I composed this song. I am surprised at the audacity of baby Yo Yo to make such baseless claim on national TV.”

“My lyricist Sameer Anjan, my partner Shravan, producer Mukesh Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, Anuradha Paudwalji and a hundred other musicians are witness to the composing of this song and a thousand other such super hit numbers that are blaring on radios across the world,” he went on to add.

Talking about taking further action, Saifi confessed, “I have refrained from suing these amateurs only because this song was dedicated to our beloved Gulshanji (father of Bhushan Kumar, producer of Yo Yo۪s version of the song). But if push comes to shove, I think I may have to take this up to the legal system.”
