Masakali from ‘Delhi 6’ to be revamped for ‘Marjaavaan’?

2009’a ‘Delhi 6’ marked one of Sonam Kapoor’s most popular songs. Composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman, Masakali is still an iconic song today, a decade later. As such, it should come as no surprise that it’s apparently all set to be reworked for the upcoming ‘Marjaavaan’.

“The makers have plans to use Masakali for Marjaavaan. The original featured Sonam K Ahuja and Abhishek Bachchan and T-Series hold the rights to the song. When the producers were scouting for a similar track and melody, they got the idea of using the Delhi 6 number. It’s yet again a soft, romantic number that will feature Sid and one of the girls. It’s yet to be shot,” said a source, according to Filmfare.

The film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria, along with Rakul Preet and Ritiesh Deshmukh and will be hitting the screens on 2nd October.
