‘Masaan’ actor Vicky Kaushal got ‘Zubaan’ after 400 auditions

Filmmaker Mozez Singh who is garnering praises for his recent release, ‘Masaan’ (2015), recently roped veteran action director Sham Kaushal’s son, Vicky for his upcoming film ‘Zubaan’.

Talking about his find says Singh told Hindustan Times, “For months on end, I had tested hundreds of guys and was dissatisfied with all of them. But from the moment Vicky came in to test, he blew me away. He was brilliant. Intense, soulful and completely playful at the same time. I gave him toughest lines for the audition and was quite surprised with the way he enacted those scenes. I saw a startling versatility in him. I can’t thank Guneet enough for bringing Vicky into my world.”

“After 400 auditions, Vicky was finalized for Zubaan.” he added.

‘Zubaan’ is scheduled to release later this year.
