Madhuri Dixit recently revealed that as much as she admires Suchitra Sen as a Bollywood legend, she is not interested in starring in her biopic
“I love Madhubala for her effervescence. Meena Kumari and Nutan both got such lovely roles to play in that era, I was fascinated by them. Suchitra Sen was another fascinating actor and I loved her in the film ‘Aandhi’ (1975). People say I should do her biopic but I don’t think I will do it.”, Dixit told Deccan Chronicle.
Dixit said she has no other projects in line, as she is waiting for the right offers, “As of now, there is just ‘Kalank’. I am reading scripts but have not said yes to anything. I am not getting roles of my choice. I always like to act in roles that I like to perform. Also, I am not insecure.”
Despite the lack of satisfying roles, she is not planning on switching careers to politics, “I have already said no. I am not interested. If you want to join politics, you should have an interest as well as knowledge. If actresses are joining politics — why not? If they have the aptitude, they should do it.”
Dixit’s latest film ‘Kalank’ will release on 17th April.
