Madhuri Dixit and Saroj Khan reunite after 10 years

They last worked together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Devdas’ (2002) which left audiences wanting more. Well, those very same audiences will be ecstatic in finding out that Madhuri Dixit and Saroj Khan are teaming up once again for the forthcoming ‘Gulab Gang’.

‘Gulab Gang’ marks director Anubhav Sinha’s first production and he was responsible for putting Khan’s name forward as choreographer. Director Soumik Sen could only oblige as he was aware that Khan and Dixit are a sizzling combination and a recipe for success. Sinha divulged to Times of India, “I remember Sarojji showing the steps to Madhuri, who would perform them with such ease and grace as if she had done them before”.

Sen comments, “Every Madhuri dance number has always set a new benchmark, that’s our intention too… Madhuri feels that Sarojji is immaculate with details and ensures that the facial expressions are in perfect sync with the mood of the song and the character”.

Well it certainly seems audiences are in for a treat. Here’s hoping the coming together of Khan and Dixit after a decade is worth the wait.
