Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang claims gunfire incident outside Rohit Shetty’s residence
A gang linked to Lawrence Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for the gunfire incident reported outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu, Mumbai. Shots were fired in the early hours of Sunday morning outside the property, prompting a police investigation and increased security in the area. No injuries were reported from the attack.
An audio clip circulating online features a speaker identifying himself as Arju Bishnoi, who also names associates Shubham Lonkar and Hari Boxer. In the message, the speaker claims the trio were behind the firing at Shetty’s home. He alleges that repeated warnings had been issued to the filmmaker “not to interfere in our work” and describes the incident as merely a “short trailer”.
The threatening message has raised concerns within the film industry, particularly given the gang’s history of issuing warnings to high‑profile public figures. Police are currently working to verify the authenticity of the audio clip and the claims made within it, while questioning several individuals in connection with the incident.
