Nushrratt Bharuccha to play lead in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming horror-thriller
Nushrratt Bharuccha is set to take on the female lead in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming thriller, which will feature a horror twist.
An industry insider close to the project revealed that Shetty has been exploring the idea of directing a horror film for over a year. “He has always been drawn to narratives that evoke strong emotional reactions, and horror can be just as powerful as action. Nushrratt was his first choice, as her performance in Chhorii demonstrated her ability to carry a horror plot with both vulnerability and strength.”
Shetty has brought in E Niwas to direct the yet-untitled project. The insider explained, “E Niwas brings a raw and gritty perspective that will ensure the horror remains unsettling—exactly the tone Rohit is aiming for.”
