Late Prashant Tamang to be seen in Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’

‘Indian Idol 3’ winner Prashant Tamang, who passed away recently, will be seen in Salman Khan’s upcoming film ‘Battle of Galwan’, marking one of his final screen appearances.

Prashant’s long‑time friend Meiyang Chang spoke to Mid‑Day about the loss, reflecting on the promising phase Prashant had entered in his career. “His recent work in Paatal Lok Season 2 and the upcoming film with Salman Khan were big milestones for him. Prashant was extremely happy and excited about this phase,” he said.

Chang shared that the two had planned to meet in Mumbai in the coming week for a long‑overdue get‑together with friends. “The news came as a huge shock because we were all busy with work and had planned to meet in Mumbai this week. Prashant had mentioned he needed to return as some dubbing work for Galwan was still pending. We had last met in November, and although we intended to meet again in January, it never happened. He was also shooting with Salman Khan, which made the news even more difficult to process.”

He added, “We were all very proud of him. I truly believed he had a long and bright journey ahead as an actor. Sadly, it ended too soon. I only hope that when Galwan releases, audiences will see his work and appreciate his talent once again.”
