‘Kumkum Bhagya’ set to end on ZEE TV
After months of speculation, the future of ZEE TV’s long-running drama ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ appears bleak, with fresh reports indicating that the show is poised to go off-air.
As part of a broader content overhaul, ZEE TV is said to be phasing out several legacy programmes that have seen diminishing returns. The channel has recently introduced a slate of new offerings, ‘Tumm Se Tumm Tak’, ‘Vasudha’, and ‘Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’, which have resonated well with viewers. Additionally, the reality series ‘Chhoriyan Chali Gaon’ has made a promising debut, further signalling the network’s shift towards fresh, engaging content.
Industry chatter suggests that ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ will be replaced by a new drama titled ‘Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan’, produced by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta under their banner, Dreamiyata Entertainment.

A source told IWM Buzz, “’Kumkum Bhagya’, which presently has Pranali Rathod, Namik Paul and Akshay Bindra as the fourth-generation leads in the show, will soon go off air. The decision, apparently, has been made to end the long-running show. The show has been struggling with a drop in TRPs for some time now.”
