BBC Two’s hit Asian family based comedy chat show ‘Kumars At No. 42’ will be returning later this year.
In an interview with Raj Baddhan, Editor of BizAsia and presenter of Sabras Radio’s ‘Drivetime’, Meera Syal who plays the character of “Ummi” on the show confirmed the news. She said, plans were certainly underway to bring the show back with work already on for a pilot edition. This will soon follow with a full fledged series before the end of this year.
‘Kumars At No. 42’ also stars Sanjeev Bhaskar who plays the son of the family and interviews celebrities every week. The hit show last aired in 2006.
