‘Khamoshiyan’ set for “underground” music launch

The forthcoming Gurmeet Choudhary, Sapna Pabbi and Ali Fazal starrer ��Khamoshiyan�۪ is an awaited film for the fans and audiences. BizAsia has learnt that producers Vishesh Films and Fox Star are hoping for the music of the film to be launched underground.

A contest is believed to have been launch in order for a selected audience to be chosen for the event which will be held on 19th December in India. In what will a first, the selected few will get to hear the full music album of the film. The cast and producer Mahesh Bhatt will be present and be interacting with the small audience. The attendees will then be encouraged to share their experience and their feeling about the soundtrack on social media to begin buzz.

Shikha Kapur, Chief Marketing Officer, Fox Star Studios, said, ���”The album of Khamoshiyan has been highly anticipated, given that it comes from the musically astute Bhatt stable. The title track of the film which was launched exclusively on select audio platforms created history, and we were inundated with requests to launch the full album at the earliest. What better opportunity then to harness this surging wave of interest from digital audiences and have the #MyKhamoshiyanMusic contest that will give a chance to a select few to sample the full music album with the cast and crew, before it launches officially. By engaging with fans directly, we not only bring them closer to the stars and powers-that-be, but also have a direct line of communication with them to gauge their immediate feedback. This is first-of-a-kind activity for a music launch for a Hindi film, and we are thankful to our music partners – Sony Music for enabling this�۝.

The film is slated for release on 30th January 2015.
