The show that received over 9 million calls from aspiring participants last time, caught the imagination of India over 5 years ago and till date remains a jewel in STAR?s crown and the most popular quiz show in the country. After redefining primetime viewership on weekdays, it is now back to redefine the weekend viewership and, re-write history all over again when it launches Friday 5th August on STAR Plus, Sky EPG 804, ntl: EPG 842 and Telewest EPG 803.

The quiz show format of ?Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, is licensed to STAR from Celador, after its phenomenal success in the UK. Its popularity worldwide has been unrivalled. The show puts forward 15 multiple-choice general knowledge questions to contestants, giving them a chance to win the incredible top prize. KBC, in its second season, as KBC 2, will be bigger & brighter, with more features and this time the prize money up for grabs will be a staggering Rs 2 crore!

With his fellow ?computerji?, courteous, occasionally playful, his face an impenetrable mask – Bachchan leads contestants through 15 heart-stopping questions. The conversation peppered with his pet phrases, “Confident?” “Are you sure?” “Lock kiya jaye?”

Earlier reports indicated that due to legal problems KBC2 will not be shown in the UK but in a last minute deal, the channel has secured UK rights for the huge show. KBC?s unprecedented success seems set to break new ground again. Starting 5th August at 9pm, tune in every Friday Saturday and Sunday.
