Karisma Kapoor withdraws consent from divorce petition

It is a known fact that actress Karisma Kapoor and entrepreneur Sanjay Kapur have been headed for divorce for quite some time. ��In the latest turn of events, the actress has withdrawn her consent from the divorce petition owing to Kapur failing to comply ��to financial commitments.

Speaking to��Mid Day, Karisma Kapoor’s lawyer Kranti Sathe, said,��”The petition did not formalise on Wednesday. We have filed an application to withdraw consent from the petition. Our stand is that there is no compliance from his (Sunjay’s) side and therefore we want to withdraw. The court has asked both parties to be present on Friday.”

However, Sanjay Kapoor’s lawyer Narayan Suvarna also claims to have applied for withdrawing consent owing to the same grounds.

Kapoor and Kapur married in 2003. The couple have two children: Samaira (10) and Kiaan Raj (5).
