Its all set to be the party of the year with the who۪s-who of tinsel town rumoured to be in attendance, but two very glaring (albeit obvious) omissions from Karan Johar۪s 40th birthday bash have raised a few eyebrows.

Ram Gopal Varma, who Johar has never seen eye to eye with what with them repeatedly taking potshots at each others films has been excluded from the guest list. But the other exclusion, that of Priyanka Chopra, has surprised many. After all, Priyanka did star in several of Johar۪s home productions, Dostana۪ (2008) and Agneepath۪ (2012), both of which were money spinners at the box office.

The reason for her exclusion is quite obvious of course. Recently, Chopra۪s friends had blasted the renown director for being partly responsible for ostracizing her from various cliques in the industry after rumours of her alleged affair with Shah Rukh Khan broke out.

According to the Times of India, the bash is going to be huge with over 300 people in attendance. Rumours suggest that it will be the first time in a while that the three Khans (Salman, Shah Rukh, Aamir) will come together at such a public do. Other invitees include Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Deepika Padukone, Siddharth Malya, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu.

With such a high profile list of guests, there۪s likely to be various degrees of controversies in the run up to and after the event, the details of which you can count on BizAsia to keep you up to date on. Watch this space for more!
