ITV4 registered its biggest ever audience at the weekend for the ongoing Indian Premier League, since this series started.

The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians on Sunday 21st March recorded an average audience of 297,000 and peaked at a very respectable 563,000. The peak is the highest viewing figures of the tournament since launch day when ITV4’s coverage attracted an audience of 479,000.

ITV’s coverage lasted seven hours yesterday between 10:00 and 17:00.

An ITV Spokesperson said, “We’re delighted with how successful the IPL has been on ITV4.”
