‘Ishq’ song to be reworked for ‘Golmaal Returns’

The popular 90s number ‘Neend Churayi’ from ‘Ishq’ (1997) will be re-worked for Ajay Devgn’s next ‘Golmaal Returns’, its been confirmed.

After a string of other popular 90s songs being remade, ‘Neend Churayi’ is the latest to get a modern twist. Incidentally, Devgn also grooved to the original in ‘Ishq’. The new version is being composed by Amaal Mallik.

Talking to Mid-Day about this, Mallik said, “I am doing two songs for the film, one among which is Neend Churayi. It’s a big responsibility. It is also a tribute to my uncle, Anu Malik, who composed the original.” Mallik says he won’t include rap or EDM in his version. “We will retain the hook line and add new verses to the song. It will suit the mood of the film.”
