Irrfan Khan has reportedly signed his next Bollywood project despite undergoing treatment for neuroendocrine tumour in London.
The Asian Age reports that the film is helmed by Shoojit Sircar. It comes after Khan was forced to pull out of Vishal Bhardwaj’s film opposite Deepika Padukone due to his illness.
It is said that Sircar’s film is based on Sardar Uddham Singh, the man who killed General Michael O. Dwyer, responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
A source told the publication, “The film has been slotted for next year. There must be some major improvement in Irrfan’s health, which is why he has agreed to do it. However, we’re still not sure about the status of Vishal’s film, and if Irrfan will shoot for it.”
