When Irrfan Khan announced he will be undergoing treatment for cancer, it came to no surprise that the actor had to opt out of projects he had signed up for. Where everyone began to pray for the actor to make a full recovery, there was uncertainty when he would come back on the big screen if at all. However, audiences can now breathe a sigh of relief, as it seems their prayers have been heard, where the actor has reportedly given the nod to ‘Hindi Medium 2’.
According to Bollywoodlife, the makers of the 2017 sequel, flew to London where Khan is still undergoing treatment and offered him the second film to which he accepted. The film had been confirmed in February before Khan was diagnosed, where Homi Adajania was signed up to direct it. However, the film was put on hold for Khan to have his treatment.
The report further goes on to reveal, how the second part of the franchise will see Khan’s character 10 years after the first film.
So it seems, the actor is recovering well and will grace the screens once again, and audiences cannot wait.
