India ratings: ZEE TV topples Star Plus in U&R regions

ZEE TV was the big winner in latest India ratings toppling Star Plus from the top in the Urban and Rural markets, according to Week 27 of 2017 data.

Urban and Rural markets data combined saw ZEE TV shoot up with 634.718 million Impressions at No.1, followed by Rishtey with 608.033 million Impressions and Star Plus sliding down to No.3 with 605.936 million. ZEE TV’s two shows ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ took lead with 12.653 million and 12.209 million Impressions respectively.

In the Urban region, Star Plus was the biggest Hindi entertainment channel with 414.740 million Impressions, followed by ZEE TV with 373.072 million Impressions and Colors in third with 350.513 million Impressions. Sony SAB TV was in fourth with 285.439 million Impressions and Sony Entertainment Television next with 284.060 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Urban region was ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs’ on ZEE TV with 7.988 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 7.151 million Impressions and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ on Sony SAB TV with 6.055 million Impressions.

In the Rural region, Rishtey was the leading channel with 449.942 million Impressions, followed by ZEE Anmol next with 446.129 million Impressions and Sony Pal with 391.695 million Impressions. In fourth was ZEE TV with 261.625 million Impressions and Star Utsav in fifth with 213.240 million Impressions.

The top rated show in the Rural region was ‘Naagin – Season 2’ on Rishtey with 7.808 million Impressions, followed by ‘Jamai Raja’ on ZEE Anmol with 5.738 million Impressions and ‘Tashan-e-Ishq’ on ZEE Anmol at No.3 with 5.341 million Impressions.
