India Ratings: Sony TV stays top in Urban market

Sony Entertainment Television remained India’s most watched Hindi entertainment channel in the Urban market, according to BARC India data for Week 37 of 2018.

Sony TV delivered 458.502 million Impressions, followed by Star Plus with 455.440 million Impressions and Colors with 431.405 million Impressions. ZEE TV slipped to No.4 with 410.794 million Impressions and Star Bharat in fifth with 324.340 million Impressions.

Top shows in the Urban market were ‘Naagin 3’ on Colors with 9.664 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 8.031 million Impressions and ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ on Star Plus with 7.743 million Impressions.

In the Rural region, ZEE Anmol was the biggest draw with 661.887 million Impressions, followed by Star Utsav with 483.460 million Impressions and Sony Pal in third with 437.835 million Impressions. At No.4, it was Rishtey with 375.990 million Impressions and Star Bharat placed at No.5 with 321.142 million Impressions.

Top shows in the Rural market were ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE Anmol with 11.588 million, followed by ‘Zindagi Ki Mehek’ on ZEE Anmol with 6.549 million Impressions and ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltaah Chashmah’ on Sony Pal with 6.310 million Impressions.

In combined Urban and Rural data, ZEE Anmol led ratings with 814.441 million Impressions, followed by ZEE TV with 689.824 million Impressions and Star Utsav with 684.456 million Impressions. In fourth was Star Plus with 645.590 million Impressions and Star Bharat next with 645.481 million Impressions.

Top shows in the combined markets were ‘Naagin 3’ on Colors with 14.422 million Impressions, followed by ‘Kundali Bhagya’ on ZEE TV with 14.071 million Impressions and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ on ZEE Anmol with 13.804 million Impressions.
