Imran Khan finds it ridiculous to write off Ranbir Kapoor

After winning many awards and much acclaim, the past couple of years have not been working in favour of Ranbir Kapoor on the professional front. Kapoor’s last three releases: ‘Besharam’ (2013), ‘Roy’ (2015) and ‘Bombay Velvet’ (2015) failed to live up to expectations. However, his contemporary Imran Khan feels it is unfair and impractical to write off a talented actor after a few flops.

PTI quote Imran Khan as saying, “It is a ridiculous thing in the world because anyone who has been working in the industry for a while should have this much knowledge that every actor will have a few hits and some flops. Did not Salman (Khan) have any flop? SRK, Aamir and Hrithik Roshan also had flops. You should evaluate a person on the basis of his or her calibre and ability. It is stupid because if you look at the calibre of an actor that Ranbir is and say that his two films didn’t work and he is done, then you are a fool.”

Fortunately for Kapoor, his upcoming film ‘Tamasha’ has garnered a positive reaction post its trailer release.

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, who previously directed Kapoor in ‘Rockstar’ (2012), ‘Tamasha’ stars the actoropposite Deepika Padukone and is slated for release on 27th November.
