Hrithik Roshan backs out of Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Hamlet’

Hrithik Roshan would’ve made a great actor to play ‘Hamlet’ in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s adaptation. However, it seems the actor was initially psyched for the project but has since stepped away.

News has it that Roshan read the first draft of the script and recognised some similarities between it and 2012’s ‘Agneepath’. As such, the actor was unhappy about playing the same sort of role again where a son is taking revenge for his father’s murder. Therefore, he saw fit to back out of the project.

It remains to be seen who Dhulia will cast in the role now. On the other hand, Vishal Bhardwaj’s Hindi version of ‘Hamlet’ will be starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role along with Shraddha Kapoor and Tabu.
