Honey Singh to do ‘Besharam’ rap for Ranbir Kapoor

Having been surrounded in controversy, rapper Honey Singh is still first choice for many when it comes to good Punjabi beats. BizAsia can reveal that Singh will be rapping for Ranbir Kapoor’s forthcoming comedy flick, ‘Besharam’.

“He has been brought on board because his songs work well with the youth. His casual style is popular among young listeners and since the film also targets that audience, this association works in everyone�۪s favour,” a source close to the film told Business of Cinema. Singh was a part of a few soundtracks last year including ‘Khiladi 786’, ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’.

Publicist of director Abhinav Kashyap also confirmed, “Honey Singh will be singing in ��Besharam�۪, he has done some really good work in the past and with Honey coming on board, the music album of the film is going to be quite interesting”.
