‘Indian Idol 12’ contestant, Sawai Bhatt, recently told the judges that he wanted to quit the show to go back home and be with his parents, but Himesh Reshammiya managed to persuade him not to leave.
Reported on TOI, Bhatt’s decision for wanting to leave the show was so that he could go tend to his mother who has been unwell for the past few months. Reshammiya shared in an interview that he was able to convince the singer to stay after providing a solution to his dilema, “I had to convince Sawai to stay back. The channel has assured him that his parents can come to Mumbai and stay with him. This way, he can be with them as well as continue with his singing journey in the show.”
Going on to add, the music composer said it would have been wrong for Bhatt to give up on his dream, “Sawai has been singing consistently well on the show. He has the potential to be the next Indian Idol. With his raw talent and right songs, he can achieve a lot in his career. Sawai belongs to a small town of Rajasthan and that itself is a great inspiration for talents like him in small towns and villages to come forward and participate in music reality shows.”
Reshammiya also revealed that he already has plans for Bhatt, “I will be recording a song with him soon. I have already recorded with Pawan Nihal and Mohammed Danish. I plan to launch them and give them a platform. I have done that in the past and will continue to do that in the future, too.”
