There were initially rumours that Genelia D�۪Souza (Deshmukh) was to be in Sohail Khan�۪s ��Jai Ho�۪ in a cameo appearance. However, it has now been confirmed that she is a part of the film but not just in a special fly-by role.

The actress, who has almost finished shooting for her portion of the movie, is said to have a considerable role in the second half of the film. A source told Mumbai Mirror, ���It’s a challenging role and Genelia surprised everyone by canning her shots in one or two takes�.
