Five reasons you can’t miss ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ on Utsav Gold

Disney Star is pulling out all the stops to promote the UK television premiere of last year’s biggest Hindi blockbuster ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ on Utsav Gold this Saturday (22nd April) at 21:00. Ahead of its much awaited premiere, BizAsiaLive.com looks at five reasons you simply cannot afford to miss the beginning of India’s first original universe, The Astraverse.

One of the most costliest Hindi films ever made
‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ is one of the costliest films of Indian cinema, made on a budget of an astronomical Rs. 410 crores. As well as its huge star cast, the other most costliest thing about ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ was its VFX. It was provided by DNEG, a British-Indian studio, behind films like ‘Dune’ and ‘Inception’.

Concept conceived back in 2011
While the film’s freshness is evident on screen, not many will know that the concept of ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ was mooted back in 2011. The film took around five years to complete and dream to turn into reality. It was released in 2022. There were many firsts for some of the star cast of ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’. It was the return of legendary actor, Nagarjuna Akkineni in the Hindi film industry since ‘LOC Kargil’ (2003).

Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt’s first outing together
‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ was surprisingly the first film together of real-life couple, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The on-screen romance between Shiva (DJ) and Isha turned out to be a real romance off-screen. The couple fell in love during the shoot of the fantasy drama, which led to their marriage in 2022. Alia also gave birth to the couple’s daughter, Raha in November 2022.

Shah Rukh Khan’s surprise cameo
Just when one thought the star cast of ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ was already humongous, came the surprise entry of Shah Rukh Khan. He is seen as scuebntist Mohan Bhargav. It took the superstar ten days to shoot for the small cameo. Praising Khan, director Mukerji said, “He gave us full time and he came in like, he was properly a part of the film. We owe him a lot. And I hope that someday we are all able to be that generous to somebody else who needs that kind of help. We are so excited that he is a part of this film.”

Chart-topping soundtrack by Pritam
The soundtrack of ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ turned out to be the biggest musical scores for a Hindi film of 2022. The track ‘Kesariya’ featuring the vocals of Arijit Singh topped the 2022 list and became the biggest Hindi film song of the year. The soundtrack’s music by Pritam, also featured blockbuster songs like ‘Deva Deva’ and ‘Rasiya’. Later on, a dance mix of ‘Kesariya’ was released, which has clocked up millions of views on YouTube.
