Emraan Hashmi joins Shahid Kapoor in ‘Udta Punjab’?

Emraan Hashmi has reportedly been approached to star along with Shahid Kapoor in Abhishek Chaubey’s next ‘Udta Punjab’.

This would be the first time the two Bollywood hunks will appear on screen together. ‘Udta Punjab# has been described as a thriller that explores the rampant drug use in the state and the illegal nexus which makes this possible.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, “There are two central characters in Chaubey’s script. There are traces of dark humour which is why the director believes that Emraan will be perfect for the part. He recently approached the actor for the role, and Emraan has responded positively.

Getting Shahid and Emraan together will be a casting coup of sorts. The film also has a strong female character and talks are on with several actresses.”

The film goes on the floors in January 2015.
