Ekta Kaul confirmed as female lead in ‘Ghulaam’

After Niti Taylor’s unceremonious exit from Life OK’s popular show ‘Ghulaam’, it has now been confirmed that Ekta Kaul will play the new female lead.

BizAsiaLive.com was first to reveal that Taylor will no longer be associated with the show after her character was killed off by the channel. Kaul, who was last seen in Star Plus’ ‘Mere Angne Mein’ will play a much stronger character than what Taylor played. She will be paired opposite Param Singh.

Talking to Times Of India, Kaul said, “I’m not stepping into anybody’s shoes. I am playing the new lead, but my role is very different from Niti’s. She was playing a mild, docile girl who was easily suppressed. My role is that of a tough woman.”

There have been rumours of the show going off-air later this month but BizAsiaLive.com is yet to get concrete confirmation about this.
