Pakistan has given Bollywood some very talented singers, and singer Uzair Jaswal is the new kid on the Bollywood block. Jaswal is a very popular singer in Pakistan and has been a part of Pakistan’s ‘Coke Studio.’ He has made his Bollywood singing debut with his already popular song ‘Tere Bin,’ in Sunny Leone’s next ‘Ek Paheli Leela.’

‘Tere Bin’ had become a hit on YouTube, and was instantly liked by T-Series head Bhushan Kumar, and choreographer Ahmed Khan, whose brother Bobby is the director of the film. Producers were lined up to get their hands on the song, but T-Series was lucky enough to acquire the rights. Ahmed Khan confirmed the news to the Deccan Chronicle, “Uzair Jaswal is an absolutely amazing singer. The song Tere Bin was a rage on YouTube, and hence a lot of producers wanted to acquire the rights to the song.”

Jaswal composed ‘Tere Bin’ himself and has tweaked it to suit the film, also singing the film version as well. Khan further added, “When I heard the song for the first time, I was sure that it will do wonders for the movie. When Bhushan heard the song, even he fell in love with it at that very instant. As a lot of producers in India were eyeing that song, we bought the rights of the song instantly. The song has been tweaked a little for Ek Paheli Leela to make it sound fresh and new for the audience.”

Pakistan has given Bollywood many soulful singers like Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam, and T-Series has also produced some of the most memorable music albums, the most recent being ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013). Jaswal, who already has millions swooning to ‘Tere Bin’has given Bollywood another beautiful melody.
