DM Digital TV prepares for launch-tests begin

Another new Asian TV channel is set to launch on the Sky platform on Monday. The channel known as DM Digital is in its final stages of testing before it’s added to the Sky EPG.

DM Digital will broadcast free-to-air on Sky EPG 841 and will be showcasing a mix of programme genres to appeal to a wide Asian group. It will screen programming in four languages ? Urdu, Hindi Punjabi and English.

DM Digital will be available on Sky Digital in the next few days (a launch date is still to be confirmed). The channel is located in Television House 33/35 Tumer Street, Manchester, where the channel has three of its own production studios.

DM Digital is aimed at a business community to provide up-to-date financial and business information, together with a blend of Asian entertainment shows including Urdu, Punjabi and Bollywood movies. It positions itself as an Asian Business Plus and News channel that provides news and information on global developments with Asian perspectives.

DM Digital is currently testing off the Sky Digital EPG on 11.264 (H), 22000, 2/3, under the label “52110”.
