Deepika Padukone will reportedly resume work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next ‘Padmavati’ later this month.
Deccan Chronicle reports that after Padukone’s busy schedule in the US with ‘xXx’ promotions and subsequent events, she will re-commence work on the period drama at the end of this month.
A source told the publication, “The battle scenes that Deepika is meant to perform in the film will take her to a new level of on-screen stunts. It’s what most female actors haven’t attempted in Bollywood before — a fierce warrior in a battle.”
The film had been halted for a short time after an attack on Bhansali and his team in Rajput.
‘Padmavati’ releases this November.
