Deepika Padukone opts out of ‘The White Lotus – Season 4’?
Deepika Padukone has reportedly opted out of the forthcoming fourth season of ‘The White Lotus’, according to a report by Variety India.
Citing its sources, the publication stated that Padukone had been approached for a role in the hit HBO series. However, discussions did not progress as the actress was not willing to audition for the part, a mandatory step in the show’s casting process.
A source quoted by Variety India explained, “Auditions are a mandatory part of the casting process for ‘The White Lotus’. The makers were very keen on auditioning actors before signing them on. Deepika was not keen on auditioning, and that was the reason why the ‘White Lotus’ opportunity had to be passed.”
