CNN IBN to rebrand to CNN News18 in India

After BizAsiaLive.com broke the news on Friday of an imminent revamp of CNN IBN in India (read here), we can now reveal that the channel will be morphed into CNN News18.

CNN IBN, which has been in its current avatar since 2005, is set for a new identity from Monday 18th April. The channel rebrand will be the broadcaster’s biggest change since Reliance Industries took over Network18 in 2014. Since then, the channel has also renewed its tie-up with CNN. Incidentally, the company already runs an international news channel in UK and USA as News18.

CNN News18 will also introduce a slew of new shows to coincide with the new look of the channel.
