British MP calls for justice for Sidhu Moose Wala

British Labour MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi has called for justice for Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

Moose Wala and his two friends were driving in a jeep to the village Jawahar Ke in Punjab, when they were shot dead last May.

Now, Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi MP has said on his Twitter feed: “More than 8 months after his tragic death, family, friends and fans of #SidhuMooseWala deserve justice.

“Even now the murderers of this former British resident remain unconvicted, so the UK Government should support authorities in #India to bring the culprits to justice.”

The MP is asking for the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs to hold discussions with the Indian government in taking steps “to secure a conviction for the murder” of the Punjabi singer.
