Akshay Kumar’s latest film ‘Kesari’ has had the biggest opening of 2019 so far.
According to Box Office India, the film has collected Rs. 21.50 crore on its first day – just Rs. 3 crore less than the opening day business of Kumar’s last film ‘Gold’ (2018).
The film has benefited from the Holi celebrations, with booming business not only just in North India but also wowing cinema-goers in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
‘Kesari’ also stars Parineeti Chopra. It is based on the true story of the Battle of Saragarhi fought between 21 courageous Sikhs and 10,000 invaders in the year 1897
