Box Office: ‘Baaghi’ has a decent opening

Baaghi - Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor 340x

This weekend’s much publicised movie ‘Baaghi’ has had a decent opening at the ticket window in India.

The action-thriller, starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor, had an opening of around 35% in initial takings for the morning, according to Box Office India. The film’s opening is said to be on par with ‘Airlift’, which released in January. Like ‘Airflift’, ‘Baaghi’ is expected to pick up in afternoon and evening shows.

The publication reports that the film has been released on 2225 plus sites with 2750 screens across India – making it the second biggest release of the year. With day one collections, looking average for ‘Baaghi’, it all depends on weekend collections at multiplexes to decide the film’s fate.

Meanwhile, ‘Fan’ has had a significant drop in its second week at the box office.
