Bob Iger to sell Disney to Apple?

After creating the world’s most powerful entertainment company, the CEO of Disney, Bob Iger is planning to downsize the business with key strategies that could further transform the media and entertainment sphere.

Rumours are rife that Iger is planning to sell the entire Disney company to Apple. While speculation like this has been long going on, this time around Iger has made it clear in TV interviews that a change is inevitable for the current Disney business model. It is reported that Disney is expected to end Q3/23 with a loss of $800 million.

There’s a question mark hanging over the future of Disney’s linear platforms including TV networks ABC, FX, ESPN and Freeform. Furthermore, the company is already restructuring its TV and streaming business in India that includes Star TV and Hotstar.

Over the years, Disney has been in the forefront of the entertainment industry, with acquisitions of 20th Century Fox, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm.
