Blockbuster movies head Asian channels in May

It’s certainly the season to be jolly as far as Asian TV channels are concerned. The big guns in the UK market have lined up some big films to keep viewers gripped throughout May.

ZEE Network and Sony Entertainment Television Asia will be screening a handful of hit blockbusters next month during the May bank holiday weekend. B4U Movies and STAR Plus on the other hand will be sticking to its tried and tested formula with a line-up of top films throughout the month.

Firstly ZEE Network will be screening this year’s two mediocre box office successes- Kisna and Karam. Kisna starring Vivek Oberoi tells a story of a struggling warrior and Karam is packed with suspense and thriller. Both films managed to do worthwhile business at the UK box office.

Sony Entertainment Television Asia has lined up last year’s big action flick Dhoom as part of its spring movie collection next month. The Yashraj blockbuster stars Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Eesha Deol. Also premiering on the channel will be the low budget hit Wajjah.

STAR Plus will be premiering the recent Jackie Shroff-Mahima Chaudhry-Raveena Tandon starer Dobara. It will also be repeating the superhit Main Hoon Naa, which was last shown during the Christmas holidays in 2004.
