BJP leader: “If Kangana has said she was a drug addict then NCB should probe”

BJP leader Pravin Darekar has requested the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to probe Kangana Ranaut in the recent Bollywood drugs investigation. Darekar said the law is equal for all and went on to mention how Ranaut herself accepted being an addict and therefore should also be interrogated.

“If Kangana has said she was a drug addict then the NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) should probe. Law is equal for all in our country,” Darekar said in the state Legislative Council.

The NCB had started probing a drugs angle in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case and have now uncovered a larger Bollywood drug nexus, reports DNA India. They arrested Singh Rajput’s last girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty after Bihar Police booked her for allegedly abetting suicide of the late star.

The agency have now also summoned Rakul Preet Singh, Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan in relation to the drugs story.

Darekar had pointed out that Adhyayan Suman had revealed that Ranaut used to take drugs. He ordered Mumbai Police to investigate the matter earlier this month. “Shouldn’t we take precautions if actors in one of the biggest film industries in the world are getting addicted (to drugs)?” he questioned.
