ARY One World ceases broadcasting in the UK

ARY Digital’s current affairs channel ARY One World has been axed in the UK after only eighteen months on air.

A channel official confirmed that ARY One World ceased broadcasting on Sky Digital today. A decision made by the company said that it was to relay its news output on flagship channel ARY Digital instead.

In an interview with BizAsia.co.uk earlier this year, the channel’s Vice President Fayaz Ghafoor had hinted about the increase of primetime news on ARY Digital but refused to divulge further information. It۪s now evident the reason for this change was to mark the exit for ARY One World.

Asked if ARY One World’s EPG slot on Sky Digital will be replaced with another channel, the broadcaster said it had no such plans to at this stage.

The ARY Digital UK Network now consists of only three channels – ARY Digital, The Muzik and ARY QTV.
