Arijit Singh first singer to charge over Rs 1 crore to perform?

Arijit Singh is definitely a singer with universal appeal. He also seems to know his own popularity’s value as reports suggest he’s the first singer to now charge over Rs 1 crore for a performance.

According to Mid-Day, Singh used to charge just Rs 30-50 lakh last year but has now increased that amount to a whopping Rs 1.5 crore. “Arijit is the hottest pick in the events circuit at the moment and is flooded with requests from across the globe. So, now, he has raised his remuneration to nearly Rs 1.5 crore for a 45 minute to one hour performance. No other A-list singer demands so much money”, said a source.

Organisers of events aren’t happy with this hike in fee and say that they are happy to wait for other emerging singers to come in who will also bring in crowds.
