In his bid to ensure that the Indian version of American series ’24’ stays as close to the original as possible, Anil Kapoor has flown in one ofthe original scriptwriters, Patrick Harbinson, to spend time with the Indian team.

As reported by Mid-Day, Kapoor has got three Bollywood writers on board, once of which happens to be Rensild’Silva. Speaking about the project he said, “Yes, Patrick was here to collaborate with us on 24. It۪s not easy to adapt such an internationally acclaimed thriller into an Indian context. We had to reinvent the original and make it more suited to Anil Kapoor than Keifer Sutherland, who plays the role in the original serial. Each episode has to have its own rhythm and dynamics but every episode has to be worked on within the larger context, as it is possible that Episode 2 might have a link with Episode 22. It۪s hard work but very satisfying”.

The other two writers are believed to be Priya Pinto and Bhavani Iyer and Abhinay Deo – of Delhi Belly fame – will be director. It definitely seems Kapoor is very much hands on with this project and he wants to leave no stone unturned in makingsure that the desi ’24’ resonates with the Indian audiences.
