Rajkumar Santoshi has seemly developed a reputation of announcing projects only to cancel them shortly after.
The filmmaker, who was once one of the brightest talents in Bollywood, has become more of a proposal maker than a filmmaker, say trade sources.
He has had more announcements in recent years than releases, reports DNA India. Santoshi was due to make a film with Salman Khan but that fell through because Khan and he reportedly had creative differences. Prior to that announcement, he was supposed to do a film with Ajay Devgn with whom he has worked successfully on films like ‘Khakee’ (2004) and ‘Halla Bol’ (2008).
However, this time around, it looks like Devgn and Santoshi have now gone their separate ways. A reliable source tells us that the Devgn has returned Santoshi’s signing amount to him and, in turn, frees up any bond between them.
