‘Fanney Khan,’ which begins shooting on 22nd October, will have Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing a singer.
The film, which also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, will be directed by Rakeysh Omprakash. Aishwarya, who was recently in Maldives for her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan’s 75th birthday celebrations, is back in Mumbai for Diwali, reports Bollywood Life. According to a source, “She will start Fanney Khan right after Diwali. She will shoot continuously till November end. It’s a start-to-finish schedule.” Aishwarya plays a singer in the film, and reports say there are three different songs featuring her opposite Kapoor and Rao.
The source went on to say, “Ash’s first song in the film will be a dance track. It’s like a stage song, on the lines of a Crazy Kiya Re. It’s a peppy, upbeat, western hip-hop song. International choreographers will be flown down to design the track. It will be the biggest song of the film.” The second is the romantic track between her and Rao, who plays her love interest in the film. “It will be a melodious love song, which will see them sharing some beautiful moments. It will be shot in Mumbai,” the source informed. Kapoor will be with her in the third track. “This again is a slow number, not a dance track. It will be the only song featuring both, Ash and Anil. It will be an emotional number, capturing the angst and despair of the characters,” concluded the source.
