Sanjay Dutt has not had much success at the box office recently with films like ‘Bhoomi’, ‘Torbaaz’, ‘Kalank’ and his home production ‘Prassthanam’ proving box office duds. Now it seems the actor is changing tactics by returning to the winning formula ‘Munnabhai’.
Deccan Chronicle reports that Dutt is expected to begin work on ‘Munnabhai 3’, which has been in the pre-production stages for a number of years. It now seems, Rajkumar Hirani is keen to get the project off the ground. Earlier, ‘Munnabhai Chale Amrika’ was in the works until President Obama stepped down as the leader of America.
A source told the publication, “All of Dutt’s films since his return from prison have failed. As the biopic on his life has been a big success, it proves that Baba is very popular among the masses. He needs to do something he is best at, and that’s Munna Bhai.”
