Zoya�۪s next not a documentary featuring Katrina

Just yesterday,��BizAsia reported that Zoya Akhtar was planning to make a documentary titled ��Sheila Ki Jawani�۪ to mark a 100 years of Indian Cinema. However a more recent article suggests that the report was merely hearsay.

“No, I am not making a documentary and it’s something that’s going to be announced over the weekend. It’s not my production so I cannot talk about it till it comes out,” said Zoya in an interview to Mid-Day.

The buzz was that the documentary was about a fan who�۪s besotted with the chart-busting item number ��Sheila Ki Jawani�۪ and how he hoped to meet Sheila one day. It was also rumoured that the documentary would feature Katrina Kaif in a cameo.

Zoya last directed the smash hit ��Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara�۪ ��� a coming of age film that released last summer and starred Hrithik Roshan, her brother Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin.
