ZEEL set to replace ZEE ETC with new Marathi music channel, ZEE Vajwa?

ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited is expected to announce the closure of music channel, ZEE ETC.

The broadcaster will be left with Zing as the sole Bollywood music channel in its network. ZEE ETC launched in 1999 as a Bollywood trade channel.

Taking over ZEE ETC will be a new Marathi music channel, ZEE Vajwa, next month. It will further strengthen ZEE’s Marathi portfolio, which thusfar includes ZEE Marathi, ZEE Marathi HD, ZEE Talkies, ZEE Talkies HD and ZEE Yuva.

Test signals for ZEE Vajwa have already been carried out successfully in India. Full distribution details and launch plans will be announced imminently by ZEEL.
